Awards
The German Communication Association has awards in various categories. Outstanding dissertations in the field are recognized biannually. In the years between the Dissertation Awards, theoretical advancements are recognized with the Theory Award of the DGPuK.Additionally, every year the association recognizes the best journal publication within our field and the best presentation of the DGPuK’s annual conference.
DGPuK’s Dissertation Award
The Dissertation Award comes with a € 2000 prize. The next dissertation award will be awarded in 2018. Award winners are chosen from outstanding dissertations with important implications for the German communication and media studies. Dissertations in German and English, from DGPuK members or supervised by a DGPuK member, submitted at a German, Swiss, or Austrian University can be nominated. Dissertations should not be older than two years and can be nominated by the author or the supervisor.
